Swab Selection Guide
We supply a large selection of swabs for specimen collection and transportation to
suit many applications in healthcare (e.g. MRSA testing and ENT), forensic sampling,
environmental monitoring, and more.
Sterile Transport Liquid Media Flocked Swabs are particularly suited for
microbiological sample collection and transport. Ideal for many techniques: manual
culture (in Petri dishes) for bacteria, and automated streaking machines for inoculation
or sample seeding equipment, and molecular diagnostic techniques (e.g., PCR), for any
kind of microorganism.
Sterile Transport (Agar/Gel) Media Swabs are suitable for sample collection and
transport followed by traditional culture and streaking methods.
Dry Swabs are suitable for samples that do not need to be transported in media.
Compatible with traditional culture and streaking manual methods.
