Horizontal racks for ULT freezers allow users to make maximum use of the storage space in their upright ULT freezers.
Front-access freezer racks offer convenient and quick access to stored items—only one tray needs to be removed in order to take out/locate an item in the freezer.
Side-access versions are available and are easily customisable for various sizes of cryoboxes. In addition to cryoboxes, they can also hold microtitre plates, and are ideally suited to long-term storage.

Vertical cold stores are available in many sizes and designs. They are ideal for organising and maximising storage within laboratory chest freezers.
Standard vertical freezer racks have either solid sides or a wrap-around body for increased strength. Holes located in the back of the racks allow cryoboxes to be pushed out.
As described above, colour-coded racking can assist with freezer organisation and facilitate sharing. However, coloured freezer racking can also be used to highlight mission-critical or valuable samples that should be moved to a back-up unit as a priority, if the freezer fails.
