PERFORMANCE AND LOADING STUDY

Within our Sustainable Solutions portfolio, we feature Stirling Ultracold’s ULT freezers. Rather than traditional compressor-based refrigeration, these ULTs incorporate a free-piston Stirling engine which provides efficient, continuous modulated cooling. Their new VAULT100 (795 L) ULT freezer has a temperature range of -20 to -100 °C, boasts ENERGY STAR® certification and an ACT label from My Green Lab.
The Stirling VAULT100 has recently been tested by independent laboratory sustainability specialists, Green Light Laboratories. The case study measured usable capacity; pull down time; warm up time; door opening recovery (loaded and unloaded), and energy consumption in typical laboratory conditions.
Here’s what we’ve learnt…
The VAULT100 ULT freezer delivers:
- Excellent energy efficiency
- Reliable temperature performance
- The option to run at -100 °C for enhanced sample security
- High-capacity storage and space efficiency
The full case study is available on request, but we have summarised the key findings for you, in our article.
